ALISON JONES – Artistic Director, composer, musical director, violin and vocals www.shapeshifter-productions.com

Alison is creator of Resonance & will also be directing & performing in it. Her extensive work includes performing internationally for two years as featured solo violinist with Irish dance spectacular Spirit of the Dance to sell out arenas; seven years with The Well Oiled Sisters, whose popular schedule included touring with Morrissey in Europe; appearing regularly around UK, Ireland & the world at WOMAD festivals; LGBT PRIDE events, Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth Arts Festivals to audiences from 30,000- 250,000;  Human Rights, AIDS & Women’s events, TV & Radio. The band are reforming to celebrate 20 years and will be performing at Rhythm Tree Festival, Isle of Wight, London’s iconic 100 Club and WOMAD 2018. Alison created, produced and performed her outdoor spectacular WILDFIRE! at St Andrews, Homecoming Scotland Finale 2009; shortlisted for Radio 4 Artist in Residence (composer); commissioned by Strung Out to compose Express Symphony, supported by BBC Performing Arts Fund and ACE; has written numerous arrangements for Walthamstow Acoustic Massive. Alison  founded Shapeshifter Productions in 2007, which gained charitable status in 2011. As Artistic Director, Alison is focussed on promoting the aims of her charity, whose vision is to create and deliver original, world class, arts productions, and projects that actively engage local communities.

 

CECILY FAY – Martial arts consultant http://www.cecilyfay.com/

Cecily was a child star, dancing all the major roles with English National Ballet, nationally & internationally, appearing at venues such as New York Metropolitan Opera House, Kennedy Centre Washington, Royal Festival Hall & London Coliseum, receiving critical acclaim both in UK & USA. Introduced to Tai Chi at London Contemporary Dance School, 1991, she began studying Silat Melayu, becoming the double European Champion in Pencak Silat, winning “armed” & “unarmed” Gold Medals, specialising in Sword Form. Now recognised as one of the foremost Pencak Silat Seni performers in the world, Cecily starred in the martial arts/steampunk feature film Flower Of Sarnia. Her band The Morrighan, signed to Serious Records in the 90s, had hit records & toured extensively. Cecily has performed in theatre, video games, film and TV, including Ridley Scott’s Prometheus,  ZingZillas-Cbeebies, Gladiator Girl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chronicles of Narnia, Snow White and the Huntsman; The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Star Wars, Episode 8.

 

DODIE FINAMORE – Associate Producer  

Based in East London, Dodie joined Shapeshifter in 2016, working as Associate Producer from 2017.
She has worked with Resonance from the development bringing the initial residency and launch tour to fruition with a small dedicated team.
With many strings to her bow, Dodie works across the arts; as an actor, Duty Manager of two London theatres and working for festivals such as Brighton Fringe and SouthWestFest.

 

VIOLAINE BAILLEUL – General Manager 

Violaine studied at Sorbonne & Université de Paris IV before proceeding to take a post graduate degree in Economics and Management of Music Projects at Nanterre University. Her passion is with theatre-focusing on street arts and circus. With over 10 years experience, her work includes administrator for WILDFIRE! Homecoming Scotland 2009; PR officer for Festival Africolor; PR and administrator for theatre company Animasur, Granada (Spain), which incorporated theatre plays, outdoor performances and circus. Violaine has developed some strong connections with festival promoters throughout France and Spain, and is fluent in French, Spanish and English. She has been Administrator for LOST Theatre Company for 3 years and has been operating her own management agency, Whirligig Arts Management, for circus, dance and outdoor arts in Europe and the U.K. since 2014.
